Tiger Woods' wife, Elin Nordegren, intends to continue staying in the US following her divorce, but wants to put some distance between her and the philandering golfer.
Since Elin has friends in South Florida she is planning to relocate there, a source tells Radar Online.
"Ein has good friends in South Florida," the source says. "She has spent time with them this year and she's interested in moving to the area."
There were reports earlier that Elin intends to move back with the children to her home country Sweden, which would have made the divorce contentious. Elin has now decided to stay on in the US.
However, Elin continues to seek full custody of the kids - daughter Sam Alexis (b. 2007) and son Charlie Axel (b. 2009) - something Tiger will certainly not be amenable to if he doesn't have easy access to them in the US.
"If she has any chance on Tiger not fighting her on the full custody issue, then he's going to want to see his kids regularly," the source explained.
"If Elin stays in the area that would be much easier."
