Missy Chase Lapine said that Jessica’s book, Deceptively Delicious, was plagiarized from her book, The Sneaky Chef. What do these books have in common? They both talk about hiding pureed vegetables from kids in their food.
Last September the chef lost the lawsuit, but she decided to appeal the case and attempt again. But once again the court told her no. Judge Reena Raggi, of the appeals court, said to the chef, “You make purees and put them in these recipes? That’s it? I don’t think one needs much cooking expertise to know this.”
