Chitrangada Singh will star in Sudhir Mishra's next, tentatively titled Driver, their third film together.
Driver is a love story about a younger man, who is a chauffeur to a high profile businessman's mistress, a couple of years older.
Mishra says the story goes beyond relationships.
"It's about power, corruption and politics in the high society circles, set in Delhi," Mishra told HT, refusing to reveal more since it's still in the scripting stage.
Mishra says Chitrangada perfectly suits the role but he has yet to finalize the male lead opposite her. He will do that once he has finalized the script.
"I can think of that only after I've completed the writing. Sometimes the kind of dialogue in the movie decides which actor suits the role best," Mishra says.
The film will be produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures.
Chitangada and Mishra are currently filming for Dil Darbadar. Chitrangada plays a struggling rockstar in the film. The film additionally stars Irrfan Khan.
Filming for Driver will begin later this year after release of Dil Darbadar in October.
