Salman Khan left for IIFA 2010 in Colombo early morning hours on Thursday, June 3, accompanied by the Dabaang team - brother and producer Arbaz Khan; and co-star Sonakshi Sinha.
Khan, the brand ambassador of the IIFA Charity Initiative, was unshaven dressed in a white Tee and looked desperately in need of a snooze.
The 44-year-old star has been busy filming for Dabaang as well as travelling to raise funds for his charity Being Human. Late last month he was in Dubai for a charity cricket match and a fashion show.
Sharing his thoughts on the absence of most of the Bollywood heavyweights at the show, he told NDTV:
"I don't really understand this. If there are some people here who are not doing well and are in trouble then we have come to entertain them. We are here to give them something. "This way we won't be able to visit Kashmir, Gujarat or Afghanistan. If our people are in difficulty we should not abandon them," he added. The straight talking Khan did not hesitate to verbalize that Amitabh Bachchan should have attended the event. "Big B should have attended IIFA. He is after all the brand ambassador," he told TOI. Salman will be performing during the gala event as well as participate in the charity cricket match between Bollywood celebrities and Sri Lanka cricket team.
