Hollywood heartthrob Robert Pattinson and the stars of Twilight dominated the MTV Movie Awards by taking home gongs in every category they were nominated in.
Twilight: New Moon won five golden popcorn statues including Best Movie.
Pattinson won three statues for Best Male Performance, Global Superstar and Best Kiss with co-star Kristen Stewart, who took the top spot for the second year for Best Female Performance.
The show went off without any of the usual controversy but with plenty of belly laughs courtesy of Tom Cruise making cameos as Les Grossman, his foul-mouthed studio boss character from Tropic Thunder.
The yearly awards show was held at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, Los Angeles.
Oscar-winning actress Sandra Bullock made her first live television appearance at the show since her husband's cheating scandal, collecting MTV's Generation Award and engaging in a lesbian lip-lock with Scarlett Johansson.
Elsewhere, The Hangover, which had six nominations, grabbed two awards, with Zach Galifianakis winning Best Comedic Performance and Ken Jeong being honoured with Best WTF Moment.
Avatar, the highest-grossing movie of all time, had been nominated for five awards but was shut out on the night.
