Mariah Carey is expecting a new baby friend — or two — according to reports heating up The Gossip Wire this week. However, entertainer Nick Cannon, the pop diva’s adoring hubby, is remaining cryptic on reports that the couple are on the verge of becoming first-time parents.
“If & when my wife is ready to make ANY announcements about private matters she will do it personally,” he Tweeted on Wednesday. “Thanks for being respectful. God Bless.”
Cannon said he also sympathized with other female celebrities who are constantly followed by the media and public.
“My heart goes out to any woman who has to deal with public scrutiny and speculation pertaining to their private life REAL TALK!”
Carey, 41, sparked baby rumours recently when she dropped out of film role in Tyler Perry’s For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf. The couple — who wed after a brief courtship two years ago — have been vocal about their plans for a family and even sought fertility treatments to help Mariah conceive.
