Tipsters tell PEOPLE Magazine that Lindsay Lohan’s court-ordered SCRAM alcohol-monitoring bracelet was somehow trigged during an MTV Music Awards afterparty on Sunday. Lindsay arrived at this weekend’s event wearing a pantsuit that concealed her bracelet, which monitors alcohol intake.
While details as to just how the monitor was triggered to alert authorities remain sketchy, there are at least two ways it could have happened: either alcohol was detected Lindsay’s system or the device was tampered with.
Lohan, 23, could face jail time if the judge in her case rules that the actress violated the conditions of her bail – which include abstaining from alcohol. Lindsay’s due back in court later this month.
