Pop singer Katy Perry has been chosen to host the 2010 Teen Choice Awards this year.
The 25-year-old star, whose new single California Gurls was released last month, will be co-hosting the bash with another star, who will be announced at a later date.
Perry, who will also perform at the gig, will be seen hosting the show when it airs on Monday August 9, 2010.
Last year's show was hosted by pop band the Jonas Brothers and the year before that, Can't Be Tamed singer Miley Cyrus took on the job.
