Charlie Sheen could be assigned work at the dump, or Aspen Theatre

Charlie Sheen's work release terms will not be part of his plea deal with Pitkins County Sherrif's Department, reports TMZ.

Sheriff Bob Braudis has taken exception to a report that he agreed to Sheen's work release and smoking breaks. He says he will let Jail Administrative Officer, Beverly Campbell, make a call on whether Charlie qualifies for work release and, if so, under what terms.

Sources tell TMZ, that Beverly doesn't believe Charlie qualifies for work release.

However, Charlie could get out of the jail during the day as part of the Useful Public Service (UPS) program, under which businesses and organizations - like the dump, landfill and hospital - send requests to the Jail Administrative Officer who decides which qualifying inmate to send where.

There is a faint ray of hope amidst the bleak landscape for Charlie: Theatre Aspen is covered under the UPS program, so Charlie could be assigned to work there, at least on a day or two of his 17 days incarceration.
