Akshay Kumar is known for his daring stunts, but singing is something he had never done before. In his upcoming comedy Khatta Meetha, Akshay doesn't just sings, he does so in Marathi!
Wearing a white marathi style cap, Akshay croons 'Nana-chi Taang' (which means 'Teri aisi ki taisi' in Hindi).
Akshay has some 'fair' company to inspire him as you can see in the photo above. And if you can take your eyes off the blondes, you will notice leading lady Trisha on his left, in a boob and belly revealing jacket with a 'marathi lass' side plait.
This new Jodi swings to tune of Pritam, which combines the melody of rock with a tinge of our very own Maharashtrian tadka.
Akshay plays a Marathi manus named 'Sachin Tichkule' in the Priyadarshan helmed film. Trisha, who plays Akshay's love interest in this movie, has done many south projects and will be debuting in Bollywood with this film.
Bhushan Kumar of T-series says this song has it all to become the biggest hit of the year.
After announcing the film, Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan decided that the film will be based on June 2009 murder of Bihar PWD engineer Yogendra Pandey who was killed by Bihar's road mafia.
To begin with the film was to be an adaptation of Priyan's 1988 drama Vellanakalude Nadu which is a fictional version of road mafia and corruption in road business.
Khatta Meetha is due in theaters on July 23.
